Objectives of the programme to motivate parents towards education and increase attendance at Anganwadi,Balwadi and primary school .And also impact on the statistics Data, shows that most of the parents in slum areas were unable to feed the nutrients food to their children.This Programme is organized by PVO and supported by B1G1 foundation.

Pregnant mothers require foods rich in fiber, potassium,vitamin Aand C,Folic acid, and other nutrients in order to keep their bodies strong until baby arrives, and fruits can be an excellent and easy source.To fight against iron deficiency during pregnancy and adolescent age group as well as in others kitchen garden has a most important role. With the support of B1G1, PVO run the programme “PLANT A TREE” which helps to improve growth among mother & Child by supply of Drum Stick, Banana and Papaya tree to poor pregnant women under the areas of Rural and Urban areas of Balasore District in Odisha State to avoid complication and safe motherhood.

Women Traffiking Programme

Women’s and girls are usually trafficked for the purpose of sexual and economic exploitation, particularly prostitution and pornography, forced labor, including for work in commercial agriculture and domestic work, arranged marriages or to be sold as brides, recruitment for participation in hostilities and such related purposes as sexual services..PVO has taken a steps towards poor and uneducated women’s/girls to stop the women trafficking activity in their working field & village. PVO has organized awareness and self defense programme in the block of Soro and Bhogorai of Balasore District.

ANTI-DENGUE ACTIVITY

Dengue fever, also known as breakbone fever, is a mosquito-borne infection that can lead to a severe flu-like illness. It is caused by four different viruses and spreadby Aedes mosquitoes.Symptoms range from mild to severe. Severe symptoms include dengue shock syndrome (DSS) and dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). These usually require hospitalization.There are currently no vaccines.The best method of prevention is to avoid mosquito bites. Treatment is possible if diagnosis occurs before the patient develops DSS or DHF.A Anti Dengue programme was organized by Punaruthan in the soro Block of Balasore District.
