B1G1 had supported a “PLANT A TREE†programme which helps to improve growth among mother & Child by supply of Drum Stick , Banana and Papaya tree to poor Pregnant women under the areas of Rural and Urban areas of Balasore District in Odisha State.
Eye Screening Camp has been organized at Jaleswar and Bhograi Block & Urban Slums among the elders age above 40 years. The camp is successfully run by jointly PVO and Local Health providers supported by B1G1.230 no. of persons benefitted by this programme. After screening they all provided cataract operation free of cost.
Punaruthan providing study material to poor pre school children in the age group of 3yrs to 6 yrs under the areas of Soro Block, Urban Slums of Balasore Sadar Block.
Nutrition food provided to Child having age group of 2 to 6 yrs in Urban Slums, Balasore Sadar Block and Soro Block . Objectives of the programme to motivate parents towards education and increase attendance at Anganwadi,Balwadi and primary school It was noticed that most of the children suffered in Worm and Malnutrition. By discussion among the community Deeworming programme also continuing in said areas. Mid Day Meal & Deeworming programme created interest among the parents to send the children in Study Point.
LSE programme has been continuing at Urban Slums,Bhograi and Balasore Sadar and Soro Block in Odisha State with support of B1G1 . Health Education ,Negotiation Skill ,Communication Skill ,Leadership Skill ,Skill of Decision making are providing by expert professionals to 10-19age Girl & Boys in Rural & Urban Area. 700 no. of Adolescents(400 Girl & 300 Boys) has trained in separate group..
